Windows 2000 Perle PCI-RAS Modem Firmware 3.4 Upgrade ===================================================== Firmware Upgrade/Installation Procedure --------------------------------------- This procedure will allow you to update your PCI-RAS Multi-Modem cards Modem firmware from V2.20 to V3.40. It assumes that you are already have the latest PCI-RAS Multi-Modem card driver installed on your Windows 2000 machine. 1. Download the provided zip file (W2K-PCI-RAS-V340-Modem-upgrade.zip) which contains the following files: * PCI-RAS Modem Firmware Upgrade.doc -This file contains the procedure for upgrading the individual PCI-RAS modem's firmware in a windows environment. * F32Xdown.S37 -XModem downloader for backing up firmware from modem flash. * F32Xload.S37 -XModem loader for upgrading new firmware to modem flash. * V3400.S37 -New V3.4-V90_2M_DSL modem firmware. * 480svs.inf -New Conexant Modem INF driver file. 2. Unzip the provided zip file to a temporary directory on your Windows 2000 machine that has the PCI-RAS Multi-Modem card installed. 3. Follow the procedure in the "PCI-RAS Modem Firmware Upgrade.doc" document to upgrade the firmware for all the modems on your PCI-RAS Multi-Modem card. 4. Right click on my computer. Select properties, Hardware and then click on Device manager. Right click on "computer" and select scan for hardware change. Windows 2000 will find the new hardware "Conexant RC56D2 Serial PnP Modem". Follow the Microsoft Wizard prompts selecting "Have Disk" and point to the directory where you unzipped the files. Select the INF file 480svs.inf 5. Restart your Windows 2000 machine.
