RIO
Windows 2000 Driver occasionally locks up when
RTAs are powered on, off, or deleted.

The
information in this article applies to:
- RIO
driver for Windows 2000 V1.0.2.0025
SYMPTOMS
- PC
will occasionally lock up with blue screen
when powering on or off RTA's.
- PC
will occasionally lock up with blue screen
when deleting RTA's from Device manager
- WIN32
API function call GetCommModemStatus was taking
too long to complete.
- COM
ports on the RIO would loose communication
after a RTA was powered down and back on again.
RESOLUTION
Engineering
has recognised the problem and has provided
the following upgrade to resolve this particular
issue. To update the RIO driver for Windows
2000 please replace the current rio.sys file
located under windows(base)/system32/drivers/
with the attached rio.sys file.
