SYMPTOMS
The
standard perle-serial driver for Linux will
not compile under Fedora Core 5 Linux.
CAUSE
The
Fedora Core 5 Linux kernel has been modified
from the standard Linux kernel that it was
based on. These changes prevent the perle-serial
driver from compiling properly.
RESOLUTION
A
special version of the perle-serial driver
was created for Fedora Core 5 Linux.
