Perle Releases a Cisco and Sun Pin Compatible Secure Console Server
Perle releases the IOLAN SCS48C, a Secure Device Server with Sun/Cisco compatible RJ45 pinouts
NASHVILLE, TN—August 28, 2007— Perle is pleased to announce the release of the IOLAN SCS48C, a Secure Device Server with Sun/Cisco compatible RJ45 pinouts.
This latest model of the best selling IOLAN product line offers direct connection to Sun/Cisco RJ45 consoles where the use of “rolled” CAT5 cable is standard. This type of connection makes the IOLAN SCS48C ideal for environments with large quantities of Sun / Cisco equipment with RJ45 consoles such as data centers.
“We listened to our customers and developed this new feature with ease of use in mind”, says Perle COO John Feeney.“Perle Console Servers are found in many of the world’s largest data centers. In the past the Sun/Cisco connection necessitated purchasing extra adapter cables, but now with this new model our customers will benefit from an unprecedented level of readiness and flexibility in their data centers. Perle has always been recognized as a pioneer in the industry and this fortifies that position.”
The IOLAN SCS48C is available through the Perle distributor channel and the Perle eStore and is offered at the same price as the existing IOLAN SCS48 port models. For more information on the IOLAN SCS48C click here.
