Perle Systems Announces Serial Data Logging

New Feature to Increase Reliability and Maintain Protocol Integrity

NASHVILLE, TN—June 16, 2008— Perle Systems today announced a new feature on the already full-featured IOLAN product line of Console, Terminal and Serial Device Servers. This latest feature, Serial Data Logging, increases reliability by providing a solution to eliminate data loss when interruptions occur during raw TCP/IP sessions. IOLANs, which are sold world-wide and found in many of the world’s largest data centers, are known for their reliability and advanced security.

“Configurable Data Logging maintains protocol integrity in the event of a session interruption.” says Julie McDaniel, Vice President of Marketing for Perle Systems.
” The IOLAN stores serial data received from an application or from attached serial equipment when there is no active TCP/IP session. The data is then forwarded once the TCP/IP session has been re-established.”

Data Logging is available on June 20th, 2008 in IOLAN firmware version 3.5 and higher.  Download here
